Homes
The county library has a 4 volume set of books, Old Cemeteries
in St. Louis County, MO, which includes burial listings
for St. Joseph's parish starting in 1846 and for Sacred Heart
parish in Florissant, MO.
City directories for St Louis are on microfilm at the St Louis
County Library for the years 1836-1980, with gaps. A list of years

The St Louis Public Library downtown also has the directories
(1821-1980) on microfishe or microfilm.
The Missouri Historical Socienty Library and Research Center
in St Louis on Skinker has all years published 1821-1980.
St Louis County Library has passenger lists on microfilm for
vessels arriving at the port of New Orleans. They also have the
book series Germans to America.
St Louis Public Library downtown has passenger lists for New
Orleans, Baltimore, NY, Boston and Philadelphia.
Military Records - Civil War
Many German Immigrants fought in the Civil War,
almost all on the side of the Union. Some records contain valuable
information such as place of origin or a physical description of
the soldier. Some of these records are on microfilm at the St Louis
