Anna Helena's approximate year of birth
and parents' names were known from her burial information
at Calvary Cemetery where she was buried with her parents
and several siblings. Her date of birth and parents' names
were also noted on her MO death certificate. Because at
least one sibling was known to have been born in Berssen
parish that parish's records were checked and a corresponding
birth/bapt entry was found there for her showing her to
be a half-sibling to her father's other children who settled
in St Louis.

Catharine's husband's name was known from
the passenger list of the ship New England and
the 1860 census. A WorldConnect entry for her husband
indicated they emigrated from the Haseluenne. That parish's

supplied Catharine's maiden name, age (29) at marriage
and parents' names. A birth/bapt record for Anna Maria
Catharine was found at the same parish. Information about
children was from the WCdb and censuses.

in Berssen so that parish's records were checked without
success. A corresponding birth/bapt entry was eventually
found for Herman in neighboring Soegel parish where

Herman's presence in the US is not well documented.
He died 4 years after his arrival here. From his age
at death (58), a possible entry was identified for him
on the passenger list of the ship Olbers. He
was grouped with the Lengerich-born family of Theodore
Lager and his wife Maria Albers. That same parish's
records were checked and a baptismal entry was found
there also for Herman Albert Albers which corresponded
to Herman's age at death and with the same parents as
Maria, wife of Theodore Lager.

*Maria Theresa's
death record said she was the wife of Clemens HOFF but this
appears to have been a mistake. Clemens HOFF was probably
the husband of Maria Theresa's daughter Anna KALLAGE (marriage
Apr 10, 1883 between J Clemmens Hoff and Anna Karlage.)
When Clemens KALLAGE died in 1901 in Germantown his wife
was listed as Theresa ALBERS. |

Theresa's parents'
names, her year of birth (ca 1829) and place of birth
were on her death record at St Boniface parish. Lengerich
parish records were checked and a corresponding birth/baptism
entry was found there for Maria Theresa. That date corresponds
to a Tenfelde entry for Maria Theresa KALLAGE geb ALBERS
which gave her husband's name, marriage information and
emigration information. Names and years of birth for the
children were taken from the passengerlist of the ship Sirius
and the 1880 census.

Theresa's parents' names were on her marriage
record in Lengerich. Her approximate year of birth was known from her age on the passenger
list of the ship Olbers. Because she was married in Lengerich, that parish's
records were searched for a birth/baptism entry and one was found there for Theresa. more about sources used

Herman Heinrich's date of birth was
on his OH death certificate. That allowed an entry for
him to be identified in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen
und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach
Nordamerika which supplied place of birth and parents'
names. His wife's name was on his death certificate
and his children's information is from their OH death
certificates.
