Tobias' parents' names and approximate
year of birth were known from censuses and the passengerlist
of the ship Republic. His father was born in
Werlte but a birth/bapt record for Tobias was not found
in that parish. His mother had been born in Holte so
those records were then checked and a corresponding
birth/bapt entry was found for him there.

parents had been found in Werlte parish so that parish's records were checked and a

database but the closest match with the correct parents. The passenger list of the ship Republic
