*The date above of Oct 30, 1799 found on Anna
Adelheid's baptismal record in Holte and the birthdate listed on the death record in 1865
in Brussels, IL for Anna Adel Bloms, wife of Meinard Pohlman, was exactly the same. Her
parents' names were not on the death record. The Bloms-Focken couple as named above were
from the baptismal record Oct 30, 1799.
Problem: the marriage record for Meinard Pohlman and Anna Adelheid Bloms in 1828 in Holte
gave the bride's age as 32 (so born ca 1796) and her parents' names as Herman Pohlman and
Helena Moeller. The Pohlman-Moeller couple had a daughter Maria Helena born in 1796 and a
daughter Maria Adelheid born in 1801. It is certainly possible that the wife of Meinard
Pohlman may have been one of those two daughters but her ID still seems more likely to
have been the Bloms-Focken daughter because of the exact match of her birthdate as stated
on her death record in IL with the 1799 baptismal record in Holte. |

A will was drawn up by B H (Bernard Heinrich)
Bloms in 1862, age 44. He left all his property to the three daughters of his brother John
Henry Bloms - Anna Margareth, Anna Mary, Mary Gesina - to be given to them when they
became of age but no sooner. (These girls would have been the daughters of Johan Bloms and
Maria Wernken living in Point Precinct, dwelling #445, in 1860.) |
