were not on his marriage record at Sts Peter and Paul parish.
Someone by the same name emigrated from Boerger the year
before his marriage and that person's birth/baptism record
was found in the Boerger parish records. The parents' names
as given above were taken from that baptismal record. Supporting
this ID is the year birth (ca 1837) of Johan H Gebken who
was buried in the same plot with a Thecla Gebken who appears
to have been his wife.

Gerhard's parents' names and his age (49) were
on his marriage record in 1867 at Sts Peter and Paul parish. An entry was found for his
family on the 1839 census for Apeldorn and with that information the parish records for
Bokeloh were checked. A baptismal entry was found there for Johan Gerhard. The name of his
first wife was known from the records of his children baptized in 1847 and 1848 at St
Vincent de Paul parish and the 1860 census. Information about the child born in 1858 was
taken from the 1860 census. more

This ID is not 100% certain but seems
likely.
Heinrich's approximate year of birth was known from
censuses. His probable place of birth was known from
an emigration index entry thought to have been for him.
Because Johan Theodor Gertken who was living in the
same township on the 1870 census was from Holte, that
parish's records were checked and a corresponding birth/bapt
entry was found there for Johan Heinrich, a brother
of Johan Theodore. This ID is supported by the fact
that Helena age 19 who was living with Heinrich in 1870
was probably a daughter of Johan Theodore although her
place of birth whould have been Hannover instead of
MN.
