Anna Maria's date and place of birth were
known from a biographical sketch for her husband. It also mentioned her death in St
Libory, IL. Dr Heinz Marxkors book Emigrants from the area of the former County of
Meppen. . . Hannover, emigrated to St. Libory, St. Clair County, IL was checked and a
corresponding entry was found there for Anna Maria Gesina which gave her birthdate 20 days
after the date noted in the bio-sketch. The Marxkors entry also gave a more precise place
of birth and Anna Maria Gesina's parents' names as well as confirming her date and place
of marriage and date and place of death. Information about the children was from the
WorldConnect database entry. more

her husband Joseph GROSS had their child baptized in St. Louis at St. Joseph's parish.

Charles' date of birth and parents'
names were on his MO death certificate. His parents
were also known from his marriage record at Saced Heart
parish and from the passenger list of the ship Bluecher.
That information allowed an entry for him to be identified
in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer
aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika
which supplied exact birth information.
