There was also a brief entry for Anton Ferdinand in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which gave the year and place of emigration. The second wife's surname was known from the baptismal record at St Joseph parish of the child born in 1848. The record of the child who died in 1846 was found at the Old Cathedral.
