list of the ship Rebecca. An entry for the family in the
book Auswanderungsliste fuer die fruehere Pfarrgemeinde
Twist in den jahren 1838-1910 nach Amerika gave the
same information and her parents' names. The Gross Hesepe
parish records were checked and a corresponding entry was
found for her there. Death information was from Cletus A
Hoer and Diana Hoer Olson's book Deaths Occuring in or
near Westphalia, Osage County, MO… The children's
names were taken from the passenger list of the Rebecca
with most of them verified in Twist parish records. The
oldest daughter was already married when they emigrated
and she too was on the Rebecca.

Wilhelm's parents'
names were not on his marriage record at Sts Peter and Paul
but he was found on the Holte emigration list, easily identifiable
because he and his bride-to-be were traveling together.
An entry was found for them on the FTM cd index to the Germans
to America series which gave their ages at the time
of emigration. With that information, an entry was found
for Wilhelm in the Holte parish baptism records. Wilhelm
and Helene eventually moved to MN. His death date there
and the information for his children was taken from the
online WorldConnect database of Pam Drake. She also had
his year of birth and parents' names which made identification
certain.
