This biography was also the source of information about
his marriage and children. Because other persons with the

to have come from Dalum, the Gross Hesepe parish records
were checked and a corresponding birth/baptism entry found
there for Gerhard Bernard Albert just 2 days earlier than
the birthdate given for him in the book.

known from his age on the 1900 census . His parents were
named on his marriage record at St Francis of Assisi parish
and they were known to have been residents of Herzlake
parish in the 1840s. That same parish's records were checked
and a birth/bapt entry was found there for Herman Wilhelm
Joseph with the correct parents but 3 years earlier than
the birth year on the census. There was no Herman born
to the correct couple between 1843 and 1852 so this 1843
birthdate is presumed to be correct.
