The marriages of two, maybe three, of their children were recorded at St Louis parishes and entries for those children have been found in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika. Tenfelde also has entries for the parents Johan Gerhard and Euphemia Margaretha which indicate that they emigrated in 1842, the same year as 2 of the 3 children. None of the family has yet been found on a passenger list. It is presumed that Johan Gerhard and Euphemia Margaretha settled in St Louis with their children and probably died there.
