in 1842. Herman Heinrich's baptism entry was found in the Lengerich parish records. His
wife A Ang Berger died in 1849 and he remarried the same year in St. Joseph parish. His
children born 1851-57 were baptized at St. Joseph. His third marriage was also at St.

Johan Heinrich's
first wife's name and his parents' names were on his marriage
record in 1847 at St. Joseph parish. With that information
an entry was found for him in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen
und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach
Nordamerika which gave his parents' names, year of
emigration, marital information. The entry listed his
approximate year of birth as 1807 and said that he emigrated
from Andervenne, Freren. A baptismal record for him was
not found in Freren parish records but in the neighboring
parish of Lengerich there was one for Johan Heinrich MEEMAN
with the above listed parents. The entry was two years
earlier than the Tenfelde date, which was probably was
based on an emigration record, but it was the closest
match. Records for the children were from St. Joseph parish.
