Emslanders settled in all of the above-mentioned mid-western
states but mostly in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri
and Ohio.
Kansas and Nebraska attracted Emslanders throughout the state
with only a few areas of limited concentration. Wisconsin,
on the other hand, had a large concentration of Emslanders
in the southwest corner of the state but few have been identified
elsewhere. Emsland emigratnts in Kentucky were located primarily
in two locations along the Ohio River - in Louisville and
in Covington, just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio.
