Phyllis
Peterson who has this emigrant in her WorldConnect
database |
| SOURCES: |
Herman's approximate year of birth
was known from his age on the 1860 census, the passenger
list of the ship New England and the WCdb
of Phyllis Peterson which also mentioned the names
of his parents, wife and children. Another WCdb
indicated the family might have been from Haseluenne
so that parish's records were checked and a corresponding
entry was found there for Johan Gerhard Herman.

India Wolf who
has this emigrant in his/her WorldConnect database |
| SOURCES: |
Bernard Heinrich's
date of birth and place as North Lingen were found in India
Wolf's database. Walter Tenfelde in his book Auswanderungen
und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika
listed this emigrant with the same birthdate and place of
birth as Hummeldorf but did not give his parents' names.
Salzbergen parish records were checked and a corresponding
entry was found there for Bernard Heinrich. The parents'
names noted above were taken from that record. The year
of emigration was from the Tenfelde entry and the marriage
information was from the database.

Judy Bender Moyna
who has this emigrant in her WorldConnect database |
| SOURCES: |
Bernard Herman's date and
place of birth were noted in Judy Bender Moyna's WCdb.
That allowed an entry for him to be identified in Walter
Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus
dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which
supplied parents' names and year of emigration. Information
about his wife, children and death was from the same WCdb.
