Johan Bernard's age (70) and his wife's name
were on his death record at St Dominic parish. Their names and dates of birth were also
known to family researcher Rev Kraus. That information corresponded to an entry for Johan
Bernard and his family on the 1839 Geeste census. Meppen parish records were checked and a
corresponding entry found there for Johan Bernard Anton. The same research supplied
marriage information and the names and birth information for all the children. more about sources used |

Johan's approximate
year of birth was known from the 1880 census where he was
listed near two other POLLMANS. Meppen parish records were
checked because of an entry found for someone with his name
from Geeste. A baptismal record was found for him there
and the parents' names above were taken from that document.
They were also found to have been the parents of the two
POLLMANS living near him in 1880.

corresponding record was found in that parish for Meinard. Information about the children
