and the 1870 census. His probable place of birth was known
from emigration index entries for him. Holte parish records
were checked first for a marriage record which noted his
age and place of birth and then for a birth/bapt entry
which was found for Herman Joseph. His parents' names
as noted above were from that record.

Heinrich, was found there for Johan Wilhelm. The parents'
names noted above were taken from that record.
