Anna Margarethe's
parents' names were on her marriage record at St Mary of
Victories parish. Her date of birth was on her tombstone
and noted on the 1900 census. With that an entry was found
for her in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und
Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika
which gave her date and place of birth, parents' names and
year of emigration as 1845. From that an entry was
found for her on the ship Olbers which reconfirmed
the year of birth found in the Tenfelde entry.

Maria Helena's month and
year of birth were noted on the 1900 census. Because an
emigration index entry for her and her husband indicated
they originally emigrated from NeuRinge, their marriage
was looked for and found in Twist parish records. Her
date and place of birth and parents' names were noted
on the marriage record and then verified in the birth/bapt
records of the same parish.

Adelheid's birthdate was on her tombstone.
Her probable place of birth was known from the passenger
list of the ship Olbers. That information allowed
an entry for her to be identified in Walter Tenfelde's
book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen
Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which supplied parents'
names.

Rizzo (Imminggenealogy@aol.com) who supplied much of the
information about this emigrant |
| SOURCES: |
Maria Gesina's year of birth was known
from the 1870 census and the passenger list of the ship
J L Thiermann. Because she emigrated with husband and
children from Holte, that parish's records were checked
and a corresponding birth/baptism record was found for
her. Her parents as noted above were taken from that document.
They were the same as those of John Snyder who settled
in Greene County and who was known by family researchers
to have been a brother.

emigrant listed in his online World Connect database
Grace Blanke (BGrace3@aol.com) who is descended from a brother of Maria Gesina |
| SOURCES: |
Maria Gesina parents' names, her approximate
year of birth and probable place of birth were known from her family's entry on the
passenger list of the ship Rebecca. An entry was found for the family on the 1839
Hespertwist census which gave a more accurate age for Maria Gesina and with that a
baptismal entry was found for her in the Twist parish records. Her date and place of death
was supplied by Grace Blanke and information about her husband and chilren was all taken
from Gus Sexton's online WorldConnect database. more about sources used
