Maria Gesina Lammers but he died the following year. The
widow Maria Gesina then married Joh Gerh Heinr Lampe in
1847 and subsequently moved to Florissant, MO. It is presumed
that any surviving children of Herm Heinr Berens and A Marg
Thelken would have been brought up in the Lampe household
in Florissant. |
| SOURCES: |
Anna Margaretha's
husband's name was known from the baptismal records of their
children and from his entry in the emigration index at the
Staatsarchiv in Osnabrueck which gave her name as his wife.
Herman Heinrich was working in Schwefingen at the time of
their emigration. The children born in St. Louis were baptitized
at St. Joseph's parish. Anna Margaretha's death record and
that of her child born in 1843 were found in the records

his probable place of birth because a presumed cousin's
baptismal record had been found in that parish and Bernard
Heinrich's record was also found there. His marriage record

were at St. Joseph's. Information on children born in IA

Bernard's age and parents' names were on his
first marriage record at St. Nicholas parish and on his civil death record. He was
Catholic and from Hannover - so probably from somewhere between the Dutch border and
Osnabrueck. The surname Teelken was finally found on a microfilm of the Status Animarum (a
1749 church census) for a family living in Schwefingen (Meppen parish) and Bernard's
baptismal record was subsequently located in the same parish. His marriage to
Johanna Flynn was found at St. Nicholas parish and his marriage to Bertha Menke and the
baptisms of their children were at Holy Trinity parish. more about sources used |
