A family history paper
entitled HAKE-EVERS-WESSLING provided some basic
information about this emigrant. It listed Anna Maria's
date of birth, parents' names and emigration information
and that corresponded exactly with the date of birth for
Maria Gesina WESSLING found in the book Auswanderungsliste
fuer die fruehere Pfarrgemeinde Twist in den Jahren 1838-1910
nach America which was verified in Twist parish records.
The family history also stated that Anna Maria, who married
John HAKE in 1858, was the widow of John BRANDT. An entry
for that first marriage was found in the records of St.
Francis Xavier parish although it gave the bride's name
as Anna Maria Adelaide WESSLING. Anna Maria's marriage to
HAKE was at St. Joseph parish in Westphalia, Osage County,
MO. Information about the children was taken from Cletus
Hoer's book Baptisms Performed in or near Westphalia,
Osage County, Missouri. The family paper was the source
