SOURCES: Anna Maria's approximate year of birth was known from her age at death and on the 1860 census. With that an entry was identified for her in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika which gave her year of birth, parents names and year of emigration as 1853 and stated she had emigrated from Lengerich. That parish's records were checked and a corresponding birth/baptism entry found for her there.

SOURCES: Carolina's approximate year of birth and her married surname were known from her death record at St Anthony of Padua parish. That corresponded with an entry for her with her family on the passenger list of the ship Stella and with that an entry was identified for her in Walter Tenfelde's book Auswanderungen und Auswanderer aus dem ehemaligen Kreise Lingen nach Nordamerika.  Tenfelde's entry gave her year of birth, parents names (as stated above), marriage information and year of emigration as 1868, destination as St Louis. Lengerich parish records were checked and a corresponding birth/baptism entry was found there for her although the mother's surname on that entry (difficult to read) looked more like Siepen. Information about the chidlren was also taken from the Tenfelde book.
